Jewelry - How to Select the Perfect Piece.

When it comes time to select your wedding jewelry, it is important to consider any detailing and embellishment on your wedding veil/gown.

Wedding dress that doesn’t have a lot of details on it, gives your chance to go for a really dramatic pendant drop necklace and long chandelier earrings. According to most wedding experts, pendants with a large stone or a massive decoration look best with simple wedding gowns only. Otherwise, you will have your dress competing with your jewelry, which can create a very confused and scattered look.

As a rule, simpler earrings and necklace go well with a dress that has a large amount of ornaments on it. We would recommend a delicate necklace teamed with matching earrings to compliment the beauty of the dress. A simple pendant pearl/rhinestone necklace and pearl/rhinestone studs would be perfect for this look.

In general, wedding jewelry should also compliment your hairstyle. If you decide to pull your hair up for the wedding, you will want to pick longer chandelier earrings that extend towards your neck. These earrings will add a dramatic flair to the ears and draw attention to the face. Generally this style looks better on brides with long hair. For brides with shorter hair, we would recommend to select simpler designs, including drop style, post and tiny earrings that have a small dangle.

Do not wear a watch for your wedding; it is a good idea to replace it with a bracelet. The style, color, and materials that your bracelet is made of should match the rest of your jewelry.

Jewelry can be made of decorative stones in a variety of colors and shades. The most popular colors for a wedding are white, red, pink, and black. You can select the color of your jewelry based on any part of your wedding attire, such as the color of your dress or veil. If your veil has a colored edge or your dress has colored accents, you have a wide array of choices available to you when it comes to selecting your jewelry. For instance, wedding dresses with pink accents are very popular these days. While these dresses would look lovely with a traditional white veil and jewelry made of clear stones, it would look gorgeous with a pink trimmed veil, and bridal jewelry that has a touch of pink in it. You can even go further by adding sparkling Pink Swarovski rhinestones on your veil. All veils featured in Victoria’s Wedding Veils collection can be customized to clear, pink, red, black Swarovski Rhinestones or Swarovski Pearls at no extra charge. You can also find a variety of wedding jewelry in these colors in our store.

Jewelry also comes in silver and gold settings. Whether you have a white, diamond white, or ivory bridal veil/dress, choose bridal jewelry that has the same color tones. If your dress is white or diamond white, go for Silver plated rhinestone jewelry and White pearls, in case of pearl jewelry. Creamy pearls and gold plated jewelry will match perfectly with ivory gowns.

In any case, the principal decoration of the day is the wedding ring. Therefore, it’s a good idea to remove other rings from your fingers for the wedding day.
